Barbara Reinhart’s work in ceramic sculpture, drawing and painting is connected through her long-term involvement with figurative/narrative themes.
Reinhart earned her master of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is an associate professor of art at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha. Recent exhibitions include Roberta’s Gallery at UW-Whitewater, the Wisconsin Biennial at the Anderson Art Center in Kenosha and a solo exhibition at the James Schwalbach Gallery in Baraboo. Her painting, “Do You Realize”, was recently added to the Waukesha Public Library’s permanent art collection. Her home and studio are located in Dousman, Wisconsin at Composite Clay Studio where she has worked and lived since 1984.
Jeff Noska and Barbara Reinhart are also collaborators in artwork that includes salt-fired black porcelain slip carved functional ceramics.
